Most of the time Facebook users want their security. Because they do not want unknown people to share, download or misuse their photos and activities. Facebook has a profile lock option that locks your profile, and the only Facebook friends see your activities but the unknown person doesn't see. [Affinity wall report]
There are many negatives about the Facebook profile lock option. Users do not understand how to enable the Facebook profile option. In 2020, Facebook changed its interface and theme. Due to which users are having trouble finding many options. Users want their personal information cannot use anybody without their permission. That's why the Facebook profile lock is very important for the users. This trend is much more common in women users in Asia.
User's accusations the Facebook profile lock option is not easy to enable. There have a lot of Facebook terms and conditions to follow to enable the profile lock option. The Facebook community do not clarify the specific term and conditions. There is no direct button or any option to get the Facebook profile lock. It's not easy to find out this profile lock option. Facebook profile lock option can get and access from Facebook "Help & Support". Users are some options from the "Help and Support" interface, that they have not familiar with it. It is confusing for users to find out the Facebook profile lock. It cannot be activated even before filing all terms and conditions of the Facebook profile lock. After filling up all terms, Facebook "Help and Support" community takes 3 to 7 days to activate this lock option. But it's not activated. For example, one of the terms and conditions is user activities will be published "Only me", "Friends" and "Friends of friends". After users agree and change the activities share "Disable to Public" and "Enable to Only Me, Friends, Friends of friends", then go to apply Facebook profile lock option to enable. But users cannot still apply for this one. It's unsatisfactory and frustrating for users. When users failed to enable the Facebook profile lock option, then some users exiting their account. Because it's annoying and frustrating. When users search the "Facebook profile lock" inside the "help and support" option, there are have lots of articles and users do not want to waste time reading lots of articles for enabling Facebook profile lock. Some users think of a specific instance when they search the profile lock option inside the help center search box of Facebook.
In Author observation and participant expression, the Facebook profile lock option could be improved if there are have no terms and conditions. It could be easier to find the Facebook profile lock option if it has a direct enabling button. (Enable/Disable) with inside the "Settings & Privacy", because it's easier to navigate than "Helps & Support". It is better if not to have access to any dependable enabling button in the Facebook profile lock. Reduce huge articles and try to shows specific articles to help users and remove unspecific options. Make it easier to enable the Facebook profile lock option.
